here's the problem: 2 vibrating sources emit waves in the same elastic medium. the first source has a frequency of 25 hz, while the frequency of the secound source is 75 hx. waves from the first source have a wavelength of 6 m. they reflect from a barrier back into the original medium, with an angel of reflection of 25 degrees. waves from the 2nd source refract into a different medium with an angle of incidence of 35 degrees. the speed of the refracted waves is observed to be 96 m/s.

a) speed of waves from first source in original medium?
150 m/s

b) speed of waves from the second source in the orginal medium?
150 m/s.

c) angel of incidence of the waves from the first source as they approach the barrier from which they will reflect?

d) speed of the reflected waves from the first source in the original medium?
(150 m/s)

e) will the angle of refraction of the waves from the 2nd source be greater, less or equal to 35 degrees as they enter the different medium?

f) what is the wavelength of the waves from the second source in the orginal medium?

g) what is the wavelength of the waves from the 2nd source in the different medium?

:yuck: and this is the first question in the course and my first physics course.
