Wavelength of scattered wave

  1. Oct 11, 2008 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
A photon whose energy is 8.00E-15 J is scattered off an electron at a 90 degree angle
What is the wavelength of the scattered wave?

    2. Relevant equations
    i know that Lamda = hc/E
    =6.63E-34 * 3E8 / 8E-15
    =2.48E-11m

    3. The attempt at a solution
Does anyone know how to find out the wavelength including the scattered angle?

The photon is scattered off an electron. What is the name of that type of scattering? What do you know about that type of scattering?

What type of scattering is it? That would help a lot!
