I What are the best TOE candidates?

  1. Mar 15, 2016 #1
Given the state of current and recent TOE advances, (Ads/CFT, LQG, M-theory, Twistors...) in what framework do you believe a TOE will first appear?

I say first because I have a hunch that a breakthrough in one area will correspond to dualities in others. It seems to me that if a given theory has the appropriate degrees of freedom and that the language is sufficiently powerful to describe the physical universe, there will exist a formalism of that language that must correspond to a TOE. So, a breakthrough in M-theory can be mapped into an analogue in LQG that translates into Ads/CFT... And so on... Are there hints of this out there or am I way off?

Thank you for your time and patience.

Thanks for the post! This is an automated courtesy bump. Sorry you aren't generating responses at the moment. Do you have any further information, come to any new conclusions or is it possible to reword the post?
