What are the values for the index of refraction of SLM (spatial light modulator)?

as far as i know, when plugged in, SLM 's change index of refraction to accommodate the phase changes happening to the input (light). Is there a range for the possible values of the index of refraction?

Thanks for the thread! This is an automated courtesy bump. Sorry you aren't generating responses at the moment. Do you have any further information, come to any new conclusions or is it possible to reword the post? The more details the better.

you'll have to look in an electro-optics text book for how the index changes. The index of refraction depends on the shape of the liquid crystal molecules changes when the electric field is applied.
