I What is meaning of numbers like this in crystallography? (0001)

    I think it is related with number of miller indice.
    But miller indice has just three number which can represent direction of plane.
    In this case, four numbers , what is meaning of it?

    look up Miller-Bravais Indices
    it its for Hexagonal crystals, where, in plane we need 3 index, and one more for out-of plane
