What questions would you ask?

  1. Feb 2, 2010 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

The science fair is coming and I am nervous at what kind of questions the judges are going to ask. Can you guys ask me some questions you think they might ask?

I am basically done with my science fair project about which factor affects the strength of an electromagnet the most. The 4 factors I used are number of coils, voltage of power source, diameter of core, and thickness of the wire. I basically just started with one factor and did experiments with that and moved on to the next one.

    I am in high school.

    2. Why do you hypothezise that changing any of these variables (wire diameter, voltage, etc) will increase or decrease the strength of the electromagnet?
    3. Changing which variable has the greatest effect on its strength? Why?
