it went through 2 pieces of mica?
I mean, I understand that if there were only 1 piece we would see 2 images (because of birefringence), but what would happen if we placed another piece of mica on top of the first mica?
Would we see the original 2 rays (since they are already polarized), or would we see just one image (ie would it have the opposite effect)?
Also, and if that 2nd piece of mica was rotated, would the images rotate about themselves (ie as they would if there was only 1 piece of mica)?
