Tsu is not currently posting, seems that she has deserted the Physics forums. What do you suppose she is doing instead?

Physics news on Phys.org
She's definitely enjoying those apple martinis and has forgotten all about us!

I haven't seen Ivan online either. Is he sitting around moping because he misses Tsu?

I voted lounging under a palm tree with an apple martini. Or surfing with an apple martini, or parasailing with an apple martini...

Whatever she's doing I'm sure it's a heck of a lot more fun than what I'm doing!

Rumor has it that Ivan has been swamped with a sudden in rush of work, and that Tsu calls regularly, reminding him of how good a time he isn't having!

That's just plain mean! Tsu is going to have to bring back a LOT of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts if she thinks we're going to let her off the hook for going on vacation without us...er...I mean Ivan.

wait...is Ivan not with Tsu in Hawaii?

Nope, she went off all on her own. Said something about Ivan cramping her style when she's out picking up those surfer dudes and trying to experience sin.

I think Tsu has decided to change his life of X-Rays assistant and buy a desert isle (maybe one of Marlon Brando) and take with her a cuttie guy to experiment what is a true sin. Thus, I voted for the third choice.

In fact she proposed me to be that guy, but I said to her that I had a lot of exams and blah blah blah...

I think Tsu is over at the CrazyShirts shop picking out one of those chocolate-scented t-shirts for me.

I'm just so jealous! Sis is out basking in warm sunlight and I'm stuck home where it's cold and I have to work. :frown:

When is she coming back? She's been gone long enough!

  • #13
Maybe she's not. Maybe she's found the good life and forgotten all about us poor slobs.

I wouldn't doubt it. I can just see her now, she's turned into a poi eating, lei sniffing islander.

She should be back! Where is she? Where is Ivan? I haven't seen either of them on line for a while. I am supposed to be hearing from them soon, Ivan has promised me one of his infamous steaks. Yummm... Ivan?

Wasn't she supposed to report back when she found a suitable volcano for us to sacrifice the PF award win-- er..um...I mean for us to celebrate around at the next PF shindig?

Just talked to Tsu, she is home and recovering form the "back from Hawaii" blues and jet lag. I'll bet she'll be checking in soon. Thought I'd bump this to the top so she can see that we were thinking about her while she was gone.

  • #18
She better check back in soon! I'm really craving those chocolate-covered macadamia nuts she's supposed to have brought back for us.

  • #19
Tsu, Tsu! Where's my plumeria lei? Did you get me a pink one? Oh! I love how they smell!

  • #20
Thanks Integral, I was beginning to think she'd abandoned us. :frown:

I'M BAACK! Under major protest and depression - but I'm back.

Oh, gosh. We had the BEST time! Spent every day at a beach (cus we were raised on the beach and we really miss it) and actually got to know my nephew a little better (that kid LOVES to snorkel!)

OK. So - here are some plumarie/pikake leis for my Sistahood *sniffs leis before stuffing them into computer* and here are some boxes of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and bags of 100% Kona coffee for you, too. *stuffs coffee and chocolates* And here is some for the rest of you! *stuffs LOTS more coffee and chocolates* Bon apetite!

Oh, my. Here's my little Hawaiian surfer guy. Cute, isn't he?

WELCOME BACK TSU!

Beautiful pictures! And I see you're still invisible.

We have really missed you!

Thanks for the coffee, chocolate & leis! :approve:

Not too much has been going on since you left, we'll, except everyone turned into pirates and there's a thread that refuses to die.

YEAH! Not bad for 50-something, huh? Thank goodness you can't see the big old honkin' bruise on my right arm from the boogie board...

TSU! You're back! Gosh I missed you so much!
Those photographs make me miss Hawaii so-o-o bad!
Did you do any touristy things like go to a luau or take hula lessons?

  • #35
*snarfs down some chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, takes a big gulp of Kona coffee, and smiles at the mingling aroma of plumeria and coffee*

Welcome back Tsu! Wow, those are some AWESOME photos! Glad I'm looking at them while at work, I don't think I could get the page to load with those giant pictures on my dial-up line at home. At least it's pretty to look at the computer monitor and see something nicer than what's out the window (currently gray and snowing and very muddy because it just changed over from rain to snow about a half hour ago).

Yaaarrh, we be turnin' to pirates and travelin' the seven seas ter check up on ya, matey!

Hell, no. We just pretty much parked it on a beach and that's where we stayed. We did some snorkeling, boogie boarding... and we partied it up a couple of nights down on Waikiki Beach with some hunky Peruvian sailors. Nice young men, they were...

Yes, it sucks but we can't both be gone right now due to animal concerns. Also, after logging about 200,000 air-miles in a little over two years, about the last thing that I want to do is to get on a plane. It looked like Tsu's sister was going to cancel for a time but everything worked out great. She brought me back lots of Kona coffee and she had a fantastic time. I spoil her rotten.

I'm so glad Ivan doesn't have time to read all the posts and usually skips over the ones I write.

  • #41
Just for the general information Ivan grills about the best steak I have ever eaten. At least I think it was... humm maybe I need another just to be sure

  • #42
thanks Integral. We really enjoyed having you and your wonderful wife Derivative over. It should also be noted that Derivative makes absolutely killer pies! Mmmmmm. In fact...I do believe that we still have half a pie up there... so much for dinner! :-p

Unfortunately, as you might have noticed I did rush the fire a bit. Due to the damp charcoal and low ambient temp I feared running low on fire and should have waited for the roaring flames before throwing on the steaks. As it turned out we had plenty of fuel. I also need a better new tree to pick from. In fact, the more I think about it...there is no doubt about it. The results were unacceptable and we have to try that again soon.

Maybe we can get Janus and Kerrie down here one of these days this spring.

Oh, yeah, Ivan, Tsu... We have a box of Samoas here with your name on it. How do we do the exchange?

  • #44
Weird. I was just thinking about that on my way home from work tonight. I was going to call Derivitave in the morning. I can stop by on my way to work tomorrow (or Wednesday if that would work better for her) - around 2:30 or 3:00? Ivan wants to know - Can we make that FOUR boxes? That way I get to have a cookie, too. (He LOVES Samoas!)

  • #45
2:30-3:00 should be fine. I'll be up and around for sure. I hope we have 4 Boxes of Smoas, they are in pretty high demand!

  • #46
It's lunchtime and you've got my mouth watering for grilled steak!

  • #47
Integral - I'll take all you've got.

  • #48
I notice you never invite me over for steak.
