I need to think about this. I noticed that I like the sound of ZapperZ. Sounds cool...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZapperZeeeee.

And I have always like Hypnagogue and selfAdjoint, and our long lost friend Bolderhead, who now lives in South America. Evo is cool, Moonbear, Math is Hard , but they are all friends so I'm biased, I guess.

I really don't know, there are a lot of clever usernames here. I'll have to look through the list of who's online when there are more folks around to see if any names stand out more than others.

In the meantime I nominate both dextercioby and franznietzsche as most likely usernames to be misspelled!

Don't worry, your username is on the list I'm formulating. And I nominate you and Evo for least likely to be misspelled (though I recall someone managed to misspell Evo's name once; I think they called her Eva).

Yeah, it's a cool name.
Which reminds me to ask:
Does chroot rhyme with soot or boot?

It's um, sort of unpronounceable. It'd rhyme with boot, I guess, if you could say it.

Since root rhymes with boot, yes this would be most likely.

That takes care of the second part; so is it now 'Kroot' or 'Shroot'?

Didn't this thread come up last year? And didn't we all love Zoobyshoe?
(Where is he now, eh?)

I like 'Astronuc'. I usually just let my eyes zip over names on forums and such because, like chroot, I have no clue how they are pronounced. However, Astronuc explained his name to me once and then I realized how to say it.

I thought it was great when in the Nerd/Pirate thread Math Is Hard changed her name to "Math Be Hard." That cracked me up.

Moonbear is a cool user name, I aslso like Zoobyshoe and for this forum Integral.

The only problem with my nick is that, if you are not in North America, then it is pronounced as "ZapperZet". Then, it sounds rather dorky. :)

I'm English & I always read it as ZapperZee.

I'm not quite sure why as I don't go by the American pronunciation in any other circumstances.

I'm Norwegian and read it Sæppersett. It has an exotic, quirky ring to it.

.. and if you tell me that it also has a vulgar and obscene meaning, I'm adopting the Norwegian version! :)

Unfortunately, no. It just sounds weird in a fuzzy, friendly way.

I always saw it as 'Zapperzed'. I kinda prefer it like that...
