I have a question i know it has something to do with refraction but uh... why do we need to wear goggles underwater to see straight>??
When light enters the water, it bends due to the change in density. This causes objects to appear distorted or blurry, making it difficult to see straight without goggles.
No, even when our eyes are open underwater, the light still bends and causes distortion. Goggles are necessary to provide a clear view by creating a barrier between our eyes and the water.
Goggles are designed with a watertight seal to prevent water from entering the eyes. They also have a curved lens that helps to reduce the bending of light and provide a clearer view.
Some people may have a natural ability to adjust their focus and reduce the distortion caused by the bending of light in water. However, this is not a permanent solution and goggles are still recommended for safety and optimal vision.
Yes, goggles are recommended in all types of water, including pools, lakes, and oceans. Even in clear water, the bending of light can still cause distortion and hinder our ability to see straight.
