Why elect "hoomans" when you have a cat as candidate

A cat named Stubbs has been the mayor of Alaskan town of Talkeetna for nearly 15 years. It is not only an achievement for a cat, but also an achievement for the whole animal kingdom, as I don't remember any other animal holding office for that long.

Alaska town has cat for mayor

    Stubbs (cat)

I'd so much love to see some cats elected as mayors. Seems like they know how to do their job.

What do you say? Would you elect a cat for mayor/president/other? Or would you nominate your cat for those positions?

At least we would solve the mouse problem.
