Welcome to PhysicsForums!

Why not post in Electrical Engineering? Or, if you're more of a software type, Computer Science? I believe these two are where most of the computer engineering type discussion / help occurs. And really, computer engineering is one and/or the other.

Computer engineering is a highly specialized field that combines principles of electrical engineering and computer science to design and develop computer systems and technology. It is a rapidly evolving field that plays a crucial role in our modern society. However, it may not be included in the list of engineering disciplines because it is often categorized under the broader field of electrical engineering.

There are many reasons why computer engineering may not be explicitly mentioned in the context you are referring to. One possible reason is that the focus of the discussion or platform may not be related to computer engineering specifically. Another reason could be that computer engineering is often seen as a subset of other engineering disciplines, such as electrical engineering or computer science.

That being said, it is important to recognize the importance and impact of computer engineering in our daily lives. From smartphones to self-driving cars, computer engineers are responsible for creating and advancing the technology that we rely on. So, while it may not be explicitly mentioned, the contributions of computer engineers should not be overlooked.

If you are interested in discussing ideas related to computer engineering, I suggest reaching out to individuals or communities that specialize in this field. They will be able to provide valuable insights and engage in meaningful discussions with you. Thank you for your interest in computer engineering, and I hope this helps to clarify any confusion.
