Workbench - how to simulate weld process

  1. Feb 15, 2012 #1
    Hi,

I have a problem in Workbench. I must to do simulation weld process. I see it like this: in Mechalical I have two separated bodies, but they are touched. On common edge appers next body (it's a weld, temperature much more highter that other bodies). Displacements are mapped on weld. Contacts are bonded between weld and bodies and temperature spreads throughout the body. After that scheme is repeated. For me are important: the residual stresses.

Did do someone weld process in workbench?

    thank and regards,
    tomek
