In summary, the speaker is experiencing issues with displaying data from an accelerometer on the xctu console through a wireless connection. They suspect that the console may be overloaded with too much data or there could be another issue causing the problem. They are seeking suggestions for potential sources of error, including the circuit, sensor component, and Arduino code.

So quick question: Basically I have my xbee pro 900 configured to an Arduino to read data from an accelerometer. The data will then get displayed in the xctu console on my computer transmitted wirelessly of course. Now I did this same procedure with a temp. sensor and the data was displayed perfectly. This time I'm getting data transmitted from the accelerometer, however after so many lines(or about 20 sec) it stops displaying data in the console. Now I'm not sure if its overloading the console with to much data or if there's another possible issue. The "on" led on the xbee begins to flicker on and off afterwards as well. I don't understand why this happens. Any suggestions on possible sources of error are greatly appreciated.

We would have to see your circuit, the identity of sensor component, and the arduino code to answer that.

1. What is causing my Xbee modules to act strangely?

There could be a few different reasons for this. It could be due to interference from other electronic devices, a faulty or damaged module, incorrect settings or configurations, or a communication issue between the modules.

2. How can I troubleshoot my Xbee modules' strange behavior?

First, check the settings and configurations to make sure they are correct. Then, try moving the modules away from any potential sources of interference. If the issue persists, try replacing the modules or testing them in different environments to rule out any hardware problems.

3. Can a low battery cause Xbee modules to act strangely?

Yes, a low battery can cause communication issues and strange behavior in Xbee modules. Make sure to check the battery levels and replace them if necessary.

4. How can I prevent my Xbee modules from acting strangely in the future?

To prevent strange behavior, make sure to use Xbee modules from reputable manufacturers and follow proper installation and configuration procedures. Also, avoid exposing the modules to extreme temperatures or strong electromagnetic fields.

5. Can firmware updates fix Xbee modules that are acting strangely?

Yes, firmware updates can sometimes fix issues with Xbee modules acting strangely. Check with the manufacturer for any available updates and follow their instructions for updating the firmware.
