    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    length: 15 cm
    Δlength ?
    diameter 1.3 cm
    pressure 17795 pa
    γ= 2.0*10^11 Nm^2
    2. Relevant equations

    ΔL=γLA/F

    3. The attempt at a solution

    i could not find the answer don' know where to place pressure

    pressure = Force / Area

    Do you have any study material from where you study ? :eek:

    Your Young's modulus equations are not correct.
    Young's modulus = stress/ strain
    Stress = Force/area = F/A
    Strain = extension/orig length strain = ΔL/L
    Put these in the stress/strain equation and take it from there.
