I was wondering: You say you teach at a small college in Troy, NY, would this small college happen to be RPI, or HVCC?

Hello, sorry to bother but I have an essay to write for philosophy about whether we are ruled by logic or not and I was wondering if you could help me. I am not quite sure what this means. Why would we be ruled by logic?
I totally understand if you are not willing to help a stranger even just by message but it would be great if you could.

hello sir, can you please tell about refractive index derivation from Mie theory? I have read some texts on this topic (especially "Light scattering by small particles" by Van de Hults), but again the parameter S(0) is derived from refractive index?! Please clear my doubt. Thank you very much.
