    Deflection and bending stress in a tapered scoop stretcher plate

    Analysis of scoop stretcher -- deflection and bending stress help I wanted to do a theoretical force analysis on the scooping part of scoop stretcher (a tapered rectangular plate). Can anyone suggest how to determine its deflection and bending stress ?
