Homework Statement
This is not really a homework question but just need to know how to re arrange the virial equation to solve for volume
Homework Equations
PV/RT = 1 + B/V +C/V2
The Attempt at a Solution
How can I re arrange this equation to solve for V?
Homework Statement
Ammonia NH3 is made by the haber process: N2 + 3H2 --> 2NH3
The nitrogen required for this process is obtained from air by using the air to burn natural gas CH4 , thereby removing the oxygen from the air, leaving behind only nitrogen. The hydrogen required is obtained...
Thank you for your help
One question though, when working out the final step of this problem to find the power of the combined loads, do I use the total resistance, or just the load resistance?
Homework Statement
A 48 V DC wind turbine is hooked up to charge a battery bank consisting of four 12 V batteries in series. The wind is not blowing, but the batteries must supply 2 loads. One is a light bulb, rated at 175 W at 48 V; the other is a heater, rated 1000 W at 48 V. The loads are...
I am having difficulty trying to rearrange this equation to solve for one unknown variable.
i=(io)exp(z*α*F*∆V)/(R*T)
How would I rearrange this equation if i wanted to solve for io, also how would I rearrange this equation to solve for say α.
alright I think I figured out the first problem
w=m x g x deltaz
=(400L/day)(9.81m/s^2)(7m)
= 27468 J/day
(27468/3.6 x 10^6) x 0.065
=$0.00049
the second one I'm still having problems with i think the equation is PV=NrT
so it would be P=nr(25 C)/100L I'm just not sure what N...
