Graduate Vector Addition in Curved Space: Invariance?
in vector addition we assume that they are translation invariant .however in einsteins space definition where we believe it to be curved unlike euclidean space ,is t not true that they will no longer be translation invariant .in that case how could we add vectors?- amit_thakur

Undergrad Vectors were introduced because they help physicists specify laws
vectors were introduced because they help physicists specify laws without reference to any particular coordinate system...can we then say that position vector is really a vector because after all it depends on where we choose our origin?- amit_thakur
