Calculus Can I skip the introduction in Apostol's calculus?

I'll be starting Apostol's calculus book in a little less than two weeks, as I'm finishing up an easier textbook. I looked ahead and I see that there is a four part introduction, and I was wondering if I could just skip that. I briefly skimmed it, and it just looks like a review of summation...

Undergrad How does electric attraction work at subatomic scales?

In Feynman diagrams, I believe two like-charged particles will "blast" one another with a photon, thus pushing each other away because of the law of conservation of momentum. How would this work for electric attraction?

Undergrad Do diffeomorphisms have to be one-to-one functions?

The definition of a diffeomorphism involves the differentiable inverse of a function, so must the original function be one-to-one to make its inverse a function, or can the inverse be a relation and not a function? Sorry if it's a silly question, I am just a second semester calc student who...

Calculus Does Apostol Calculus Volume 2 cover sufficient multivariate calculus?

Thank you for the replies! How long do you think Apostol's two volumes should take to complete? I should be starting them in a few months. I'll know univariate calculus, but not any multivariate calculus or linear algebra.

Calculus Does Apostol Calculus Volume 2 cover sufficient multivariate calculus?

Do you think that Spivak is helpful for learning differential geometry/general relativity, or would it be better to start learning it right after Apostol and skip Spivak?

Calculus Does Apostol Calculus Volume 2 cover sufficient multivariate calculus?

Hello. I am currently doing a high school univariate calculus book, but I would like to go through Apostol's two volumes to get a strong foundation in calculus. His first volume seems great, and I've heard great things about his series, but I am not sure if his second volume contains sufficient...
