Should I Pursue Academia or Industry as an Electrical Engineering Student?
I certainly wouldn't call this greed, you would be establishing a career for yourself with great pay at an early age, its not like your some high school kid that left school for a quick buck. I think its important to recognize whether you would enjoy being a professor or if you just like the...- anubis01

Should I keep going? Should I leave? If I stay, what do?
I'm sorry but what do you mean by "getting into pro school" Do you mean graduate school? Look there are times where everyone has doubts and thinks about switching, but there is a difference between doubt and feeling like you don't want to do this subject for the rest of your life. For myself...- anubis01

Engineering Engineering Undecided: Chemical Engineering Advice
Its rather subjective which engineering discipline is the hardest, but honestly why does it even matter? As long as you enjoy the material and take your studious seriously, you'll be fine.- anubis01

Should I even try physics at this point?
That's highly unusual for upper year courses This statistic makes no sense, your school has a pretty small population, yet it has hundred plus students in 3rd/4th year physics classes, my 2nd year Optics & waves course didn't even scratch 50, and that's with a population of 36000 students.- anubis01

Should I even try physics at this point?
That's true for first year physics, and maybe part of second year but after that most physics courses end up being graded on a curve. Edit* To the OP, you definitely should think about the enjoyability of you're degree when making a decision like this. There is a lot more to physics then...- anubis01

How to tell a friend you don't want to room with them
I say just be honest with him. In my case I was roommates with a guy first year who was basically nocturnal with his studying habits, but was all around a pretty good friend who I shared many values with. However his habit, combined with the fact that he wanted to live in a really cheap/bad...- anubis01

Programs Engineering Degrees: Is it worth going to UofG, McMaster, Western, or Ryerson?
There is a big difference between a few companies offering a 12 month internship for the program, compared to every company offering a minimum of 12 months, which is why the PEY program is unique, and more often has a higher average payout. Although 4 month COOP terms can lead to employment...- anubis01

Programs Engineering Degrees: Is it worth going to UofG, McMaster, Western, or Ryerson?
Unfortunately Ryerson doesn't provide COOP statistics, but UFT does. http://www.engineeringcareers.utoronto.ca/Assets/ECC+Digital+Assets/pdfs/PEY+Salary+Stats.pdf The above link shows the placement rates for the PEY program, its like COOP except the employment terms are a 12-16 month...- anubis01

Programs Engineering Degrees: Is it worth going to UofG, McMaster, Western, or Ryerson?
Oh if you live in Toronto that changes things a bit. Ryerson isn't a bad school per say, its just that its relatively new and not as prestigious as UFT, hence in Toronto a lot of the COOP jobs would end up going to UFT, due to UFT's extensive connections with the industry in Toronto. However if...- anubis01

Programs Engineering Degrees: Is it worth going to UofG, McMaster, Western, or Ryerson?
It's definitely not a waste to go to any of those schools, well expect Ryerson. However I would highly recommend you do COOP during university to build connections and eventually land a job, otherwise going to a less reputable school with no experience would put you at a disadvantage. Also...- anubis01

Calc 3 Prep for ODE: Fund Differential Eqn & BVP
I took Cal 3 and ODE at the same time. Cal 3 wasn't a prerequisite for ODE and there was very little overlap between those two courses.- anubis01

Schools Low marks for university Physics advice needed
To be perfectly honest you will not get accepted to any university with an average lower than 70%. You should talk to some advisers at different universities for the admission's average for Physics. I know the University of Ottawa, and the University of Carleton have an admission average of...- anubis01

Should I argue with my professor on this?
It was actually the professors decision not to offer a bell curve and the department also offered the option to take a new 100% final, written by a different professor. I only choose the former because I needed to replace my E&M course, which I couldn't take due to not passing the prerequisite...- anubis01

Should I argue with my professor on this?
I think the OP didn't properly explain his situation. I had a similar case in Cal III where the professor wrote a midterm/exam that had practically nothing to do with what was done in class and essentially consisted of proofs. Now I'm not talking the simple kind of proofs like derive the...- anubis01

Fork in the road, each path leads to possibly more disappointment.
I don't wish to sound insentive, but you seem to be blaming everyone else for all your life problems, it wasn't your father that forced you to rack up all that debt, you are the one that ruined your fiances, not your father. You need to take responsibility for your actions and the damage you've...- anubis01
