Graduate Steady state of diffusion current in semiconductors
Hi @Greg , I originally asked this question at http://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/82949/steady-state-of-diffusion-current-in-semiconductors The additional info that I can share is in the addendum part here...- Anupam

Graduate Steady state of diffusion current in semiconductors
Consider a long semiconductor bar is doped uniformly with donor atoms so that the concentration is given by n = ND and is independent of position. Radiation falls upon the end of the bar at x=0, this light generates electron-hole pairs at x=0. light keeps on falling. Explanation...- Anupam

Voltage divider circuit and the Pull-down resister.
@phinds You say: "you need to follow the divider with an amplifier". As i understand you mean that since the current flow through the amplifier will be very small so its resistance will be >>10k\Omega. But then we can directly connect $V_{in}$ to the amplifier because its resistance is...- Anupam

Voltage divider circuit and the Pull-down resister.
Am reading pull-down resister herehttp://www.doctronics.co.uk/voltage.htm. PART-1 The circuit schematic of a light sensor using a voltage divider circuit is as shown: http://www.doctronics.co.uk/images/vdiv4.gif LDR has a resistance of 500Ω, 0.5kΩ , in bright light, and 200kΩ in the...- Anupam

Graduate Understanding field representation of force
@Legaldose you are using a different terminology. In the book [here](https://archive.org/details/evolutionofphysi033254mbp) the authors use the term "field" and "field lines" synonymously. It is the field lines which are in brief called the field. Field is just a representation. If you say field...- Anupam

Graduate Understanding field representation of force
I am reading the book "The Evolution of Physics". I have a doubt in the topic "The field as representation". In this topic authors give the example of gravitational force represented as a field. In the following image the small circle represents an attracting body(say sun) and the lines are the...- Anupam
