De Broglie Wavelength - Can a Person Move Slow Enough?

Just a random thought: is it not possible for a person to move slow enough to have an observable de Broglie wavelength? For example a person moving at around 10^-30 m/s should have a wave nature that is very observable.

Can Two Violins Create Perfect Harmony Without Destructive Interference?

Thanks for the informative replies. In that case, how would the intensity of sound produced by 2 identical violins compare with the intensity produced by just 1?

Can Two Violins Create Perfect Harmony Without Destructive Interference?

Why is it that when say 2 violins are playing the same tune at the same time, there is never any destructive interference and no sound is heard?

Finding time taken to fall off table

Using conservation of energy I get: This is by breaking the chain into 2 parts: the part of length L-b lying on the table and the part b over the edge. I also take PE = 0 at height L/2 below the table to simplify calculations later When the chain has fallen off the table, PE = 0 (since...

Finding time taken to fall off table

Homework Statement A uniform chain of length L lies on a smooth table with part of its length b initially hanging over the edge. Show that the time required for it to fall off the table when released from rest is given by t = √(L/g) arccosh (L/b) Homework Equations...
