Graduate Question about Killing vectors in the Kerr Metric
Ok now I get it, I was just being confused with the basis vectors and the components of the killing vector. I feel silly, but thank you now I get it.- Ayfel

Graduate Question about Killing vectors in the Kerr Metric
The confusing part for me is to go from K = \partial_t to K = (1,0,0,0) The first expression I suppose is independent of your reference system, but then I do not know how by setting them to t,r,etc you make the transition from the first to the second expression. I am thinking of K = \partial_t...- Ayfel

Graduate Question about Killing vectors in the Kerr Metric
Now I am struggling with the following K^\mu = (\partial_t)^\mu = \delta ^\mu_t . Could anyone explain how to get the last equality. i'm reading this from GRAVITATION(Thorne, Wheeler...) and I am quite confused as to how this is true, it is probably a silly thing but I am very new to this...- Ayfel

How to Pursue Theoretical Physics Studies in the US as a Spanish Student?
Ok I read through all the " So you want to be a Physicist" thing and got some ideas. Now this is my status right now. I'm finishing school probably on April/May, my grades have improved drastically this last two years, just because I got mre interested on the subjects, more difficulty means...- Ayfel

How to Pursue Theoretical Physics Studies in the US as a Spanish Student?
Hello I'm a spanish student, I'm finishing my 5th year in physics here in Madrid at UAM. I was planning on following the usual path here and start the Master in theoretical physics that we have here in Madrid at the same university, which is pretty good(2 year) and then it gives you access to a...- Ayfel
