Maximize Performance: Benefits of Moving Rear Suspension Mounting Points Forward
I’m fully aware of how the 4 link works Im asking what would the effects be with the diagram bellow . The pivot points on the rear end are always centered or slightly in front of the rear axle .- B565

Maximize Performance: Benefits of Moving Rear Suspension Mounting Points Forward
Agreed with everything you’ve stated . Again I should have been more specific . The upper control arm pivot point is not centered on the rear axle but rather 2” in front . What would be the effect of the upper control arm mounting point 2” 3” 4” forward of the rear axle launching a drag race car...- B565

Maximize Performance: Benefits of Moving Rear Suspension Mounting Points Forward
What about weight transfer or how fast and hard the hit to the rear tires would be affected ? I’ve heard longer 4 link bars in general will soften the hit to the tire which makes sense to me . But still unclear how moving the hole 2” , 3” forward of axle centerline would affect the dynamics of...- B565

Maximize Performance: Benefits of Moving Rear Suspension Mounting Points Forward
Hi , most rear suspension 4 link brackets mounted on the rear end housing are centered or slightly forward of the rear axle centerline . Why ? And what are the effects of moving the mounting points forward 2”,3”,4” forward ? Thanks for the help .- B565

Automotive Two IC Engines: Comparing Torque Curves
Ok , let me try to rewrite this question, 2 IC engines same weight car , transmission and gearing. Everything the same . Car A starts off at 400lbs of torque at 4000 rpm and goes to 410lbs of torque in .300 of a second. Car B starts off at 400lbs of torque at 4000 rpm and goes to 525lbs of...- B565

Automotive Two IC Engines: Comparing Torque Curves
Hello there , hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me . let's say you have two IC engines . all variables are the same . Engine A has a completely flat torque curve at 500’ lbs to 550’ lbs . Engine B has a torque curve that starts out at 450’lbs but gradually makes its way to 650’...- B565
