my set up was thus;
bunsen burner and around 4 metal plates of various colours.
certain colours absorbed more heat energy.
because temperature and resistance are linked i hypothesized
more temperature increase would mean less resistance.
when doing the practical the values i got were...
ok this was my pratical.
i connected a powerpack to a lamp and placed a coloured filter on top, with ammeters and voltmeters attached.
i put a thermometer 5 cm away fom the lamp and measured the temperature rise. the
red light heated the thermometer up the most followed by yelow green...
My physics essay is on coloured light.
after investigating i found that the higher level frequency light red yellow transferred more energy
this is due to E=hf.
now i want to prove my results coincide with Plancks constant.
i want to plot E against f, the gradient should be h.
i have...
primarily i was investigating the rate of absorbition of heat through different colours.
and i found that the closer the colours are to the infa red side of the spectrum(red orange yellow) the more heat absorbes, and i deduced this is becasue infa red is in fact heat anf therefore colours...
im doing an extended essay at school and i am loooking for help to adjust/refine my ideas.
basically I am investigating properties of the visible spectrum of light.
one idea is that the size that each colour has within the spectrum green, large, yellow, small
corresponds to there...
