Coefficient of Kinetic Friction
Right, okay. So, in the horizontal direction, the force of friction and the force of the push (150N) are both affecting the object. They are also in opposite directions. I drew a FBD for it (attached file), however I am still stuck on how you calculate the Force of Friction.- Beanie

Coefficient of Kinetic Friction
Homework Statement A horizontal force of 150 N is used to push a 50.0 kg packing crate a distance of 5.00 m on a rough horizontal surface. The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s2 . If the crate moves with constant velocity, calculate: a) the work done by the force. Answer in units of J. b)...- Beanie

Newtons Laws car deacceleration
Okay, this makes more sense. So... Ff=mus*Fn Ff=0.218*18620 Ff=4059.16 And then because sum of all forces is the force of friction, 4059.16=(1900)a a=2.1364m/s^2- Beanie

Newtons Laws car deacceleration
Homework Statement A 1900 kg car moves along a horizontal road at speed v0 = 23.6 m/s. The road is wet, so the static friction coefficient between the tires and the road is only μs = 0.218 and the kinetic friction coefficient is even lower, μk = 0.1526. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2...- Beanie

How Does Projectile Motion Affect Speed and Angle on Impact?
Homework Statement A particle travels between two parallel ver- tical walls separated by 25 m. It moves to- ward the opposing wall at a constant rate of 9.2 m/s. It hits the opposite wall at the same height. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2 . (IMAGE FOR CLARIFICATION ATTACHED) a)...- Beanie

Projectile Trajectory Homework: Finding Time of Flight Without Air Resistance
Thank you! So I understand what the projectile looks like. I have drawn a picture and tried a different attempt to what I was doing before. I found the x and y components of the angle. I then used the y component of this answer as the initial vertical velocity, used 0 as the final vertical...- Beanie
