Programs Engineering or Maths&Physics degree?
Engineering or Maths&Physics degree?? OK so currently I am a first year student studying a Bachelor in Science in Mathematics and Physics. I am enjoying it quite a lot, i love problem solving and the satisfaction you get once you manage a question. However i am feeling doubtful about what type...- bernvall

Is a Bachelor's in Maths Worthwhile for Job Opportunities?
Yes in fact in the first semester we have a small study unit of programming, however its only Pascal, nothing major and we didnt learn much besides the basics: like loops, procedures functions etc. I don't know about other years but I am not so sure well do much more programming. Probably you...- bernvall

Is a Bachelor's in Maths Worthwhile for Job Opportunities?
Actually I am living and studying in Malta. Yes, yes i am aware of the fact that every job has its advantages and disadvantages, that you may find some things boring, whilst others interesting, but that's life I suppose. What worries me is if I can find a job with a BSc maths and physics...- bernvall

Is a Bachelor's in Maths Worthwhile for Job Opportunities?
Im currently a first year student in a bachelors in Maths and in Physics and I am wondering if this course is worth it. Can i get a good, well-paid job after this course? However, I am not interested in teaching or becoming a professor. Would i be able to work in the financial sector? Or would i...- bernvall

Math Can i work in the financial sector after Bsc maths and physics?
Just watched the trailer, very good, ill look out for it in theaters. Should give me a good idea about what I might be doing later on, unless i find Physics very appealing. In fact this winter ill be going to CERN as an educational trip, and ill see how that goes too.- bernvall

Math Can i work in the financial sector after Bsc maths and physics?
Intereseting. So I guess what I should do at this point is just focus on what I like, and then deal with finding a job after I graduate, who knows what would happen until then. I'm sure that I won't be unemployed with a bachelors in maths and physics. If need be, next year I'll repeat first...- bernvall

Math Can i work in the financial sector after Bsc maths and physics?
Well, I am 18 right now, and i can't imagine myself moving to a different country with no friends or family and starting afresh. Even the thought of it frightens me. Maybe when I am older, ill realize that its not such a bad thing. But until then, i'd prefer working in Malta- bernvall

Math Can i work in the financial sector after Bsc maths and physics?
Ye but the thing is, i live in Malta and there arent many job opportunities for physicists, even more so for astrophysicists! This is why I am a bit worried about my future. I also think that if I am this sure that I'm going to work in the financial sector, that I am wasting my time studying a...- bernvall

How Long Does It Take a Train to Reach Twice Its Threshold Speed?
Yes, i realized that i needed to use Newtons 2nd Law. What i did was split it up in two, from 0 to V and then from V to 2V. the first part i managed to find the time and distance easily using equations of motion. However for the second part i didn't know what the resultant force was. It gives...- bernvall

How Long Does It Take a Train to Reach Twice Its Threshold Speed?
Homework Statement The resultant force acting on a train of mass m starting from rest on a level track is a constant P for speeds less than V . For speeds greater than V the power exerted by the resultant force has a constant value PV . Find the time taken to reach a speed 2V from rest, and...- bernvall
