What is the final velocity and angle of ball 2 after collision on a pool table?
POOL TABLE PROBLEM. When ball 1 hits ball 2, they both go off at different angles. What is the final velocity of the second ball? GIVEN: ball 1=4 kg ball 2= 10 kg Vo1=8 m/s Vf1=3 m/s Vo2=0 θ=34 ° (ball 2 moves at a speed of 3 m/s @ 34°) Solve for Vf2 and the angle for ball 2 after...- bmx_Freestyle

Why Does a Negative Spring Constant Give a Nonreal Period in Oscillation?
Ok so i am doing a lab...and i graphed my data points and my slope turned out to be negative. The y-axis is in Newtons and the x-axis is in Meters. So my teacher said the the slope=k (constant) period of an oscillation formula: T=2pi(m/k)^1/2 But my k is negative so when i substitute all my...- bmx_Freestyle

Percent of initial total mechanical energy lost during a round trip?
ok i calculated initial KE and final KE KEo=1/2mvo^2 KEf=1/2mvf^2 KEo=1/2(5)(40^2)=4000 KEF=1/2(5)(50^2)=6250 then i did 4000/6250 and got 0.64 and then i multiplied tht by 100% to get 64%- bmx_Freestyle

Percent of initial total mechanical energy lost during a round trip?
Vo (40 m/s) is the speed the mass begins with when moving up the plane. when it stops the vf is o. then when the mass comes back down vo=o and the vf is 50 (when the mass reaches the bottom)- bmx_Freestyle

Percent of initial total mechanical energy lost during a round trip?
H refers to height i drew a right triangle and the vertical leg represents height the bottom is Ho and the top of the vertical leg is Hf the round trip is when the mass moves up the inclined plane and comes back down- bmx_Freestyle

Percent of initial total mechanical energy lost during a round trip?
Given: Mass= 5 kg Vo= 40 m/s Vf=50 m/s s=150 m Ho=0 Hf=50.2 m g=9.8 m/s/s friction=6.26 N θ=30° *You will probably not use all of these values* What percent of initial total mechanical energy is lost during the round trip? (a block (with mass m) going up an inclined plane, and...- bmx_Freestyle

Mass on an inclined plane w/ FRICTION (use work energy theorem)
Mass on an inclined plane with friction! There is a mass at the bottom of an inclined plane. It travels with an initial velocity up the inclined plane at an angle θ. There is a coefficient of friction on the ramp. How far up the ramp will the mass go before stopping? What is the speed of the...- bmx_Freestyle

Mass on an inclined plane with friction
When i draw a free body diagram and write my sum of forces equations i get Fy= N-wcosθ=ma Fx= wsinθ-μmg=ma when i separate the W into its x and y components, isn't Wsinθ on the x-axis and wcosθ on the y axis? So i did N-wcosθ+wsinθ-μmg-max=0 and i solved for acceleration and i got 3.13 m/s/s...- bmx_Freestyle
