Undergrad Heat Energy Removed: Latent Heat of Sublimation/Fusion
True so It would be subcooling . Sublimation is the process of ice becoming water vapor without first going through a liquid stage. Subcooling is reducing the temperature of a liquid below its boiling point. If you have water sitting in a pan on the stove in your house, it is subcooled liquid...- bwd111

High School Dalton's Law: Why is My Answer Wrong?
Can someone explain why this answer is wrong? I answered additive since the gases are added . Was told correct answer is not affected by changes in tempure. Qeustin was Daltons law states that when more than one is present in a container, ther pressures are and I answered additive. other choices...- bwd111

Undergrad Heat Energy Removed: Latent Heat of Sublimation/Fusion
What is the heat energy removed from a liquid when vapor is no longer present. This has been bugging me all day. I was thinking latent heat of sublimation cause ice seems to just melt in a ice machine due to door opening and closing and heat from air . Next guess was latent heat of fusion- bwd111
