I have been accepted to SULI Fermilab and a SURF program at Caltech and am not sure which one to take. The Fermilab opportunity is much closer to my home (easy driving distance) and pays more. Any insights or suggestions? Is there any huge difference in quality/prestige of these two programs?
I heard from NRAO but had to decline (Charlottesville, VA). I went to Harvard SAO last year and they didn't approach me until mid March. I'm not sure if that's because I was low on their list or because they had to go through a lot of applications and were behind. It did not sound like I was last.
Thanks for your response! The SULI is involved with LIGO, so I think it's a little astrophysics but mostly physics. I also neglected to mention that I will get $800 more if I go to SULI.
