Graduate Paradox regarding energy of dipole orientation
So what if the math here is correct and there really is a paradox? What would this mean if the paradox is true? Can an experiment be conducted to verify the existence of such a paradox?- Charlie_V

Graduate Origin of Universe: Exploring Current Scientific Theories
You know, all I typically notice from these types of discussions is that atheists have replaced conventional religion with science (science IS their religion). If they could only prove that a scientific model without a God was completely valid they could say "HA told you God didn't exist you... -

Undergrad Why Does Rotating a Magnet Below a Horizontal Coil Not Produce Voltage?
@Dadface That sounds like a pretty reasonable explanation. Is there really work done against an unloaded coil though?- Charlie_V

Undergrad Why Does Rotating a Magnet Below a Horizontal Coil Not Produce Voltage?
Thanks for replying CompuChip, You are correct, if you rotated the magnet about the axis parallel to N-S, nothing would happen. But rotating it the way I have drawn does not induce a voltage either - as long as the magnet is rotating at the exact center of the coil (assuming the coil is...- Charlie_V

Undergrad Why Does Rotating a Magnet Below a Horizontal Coil Not Produce Voltage?
Hello every, I have a question I've never found a good explanation for. Referring to the picture, imagine a coil that is horizontally situated. A magnet is placed below it with the poles perpendicular to the center of the coil. The magnet can be rotated as shown. Now my question is, why does...- Charlie_V
