Medical Any medical issues against artificial contraceptives?

I think Wiki page is useful as a starting point for orientation on a subject, but not really considered a source to be cited in a research paper. Also, I came across a couple of links and it says otherwise. Mod note: inappropriate links removed.

News Any secular arguments against artificial contraceptives?

Yes, it does. I think that would be a good secular argument against artificial contraceptives. If, for example, contraceptives are carcinogenic, I think that would be another good secular argument against artificial contraceptives. sec·u·lar    [sek-yuh-ler] Show IPA adjective 1. of or...

News Any secular arguments against artificial contraceptives?

Great responses so far. Keep them coming. China is the first thing that come to my mind. Birth control didn't accomplish the intended goal and has skewed their population rather dramatically.

News Any secular arguments against artificial contraceptives?

All types of artificial birth control. I guess there are secular answers for them all. But you can concentrate on specific type e.g. pills. Maybe other folks can touch on the other types.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Assuming we are talking about a 'modern' chicken and a 'modern' chicken egg, the answer would seem to be: the egg. Rationale: two creatures both 99.999% (etc) genetically similar to modern chickens, but in different ways, mated. The result is an egg that now contains 100% 'modern' chicken DNA.

When Does Life Begin? Science's Answer

If we say at birth, then what is the difference between a child 5 minutes before birth versus one 5 minutes after? None, other than environment that child is in. "Personhood" should never be based solely on how you wanted to define it. Is there any place for subjectivity in the beginning of...

When Does Life Begin? Science's Answer

I need to narrow down my question to "human life." I frequently heard comment that the "fetus is not human." It cannot be anything but human! Elephants have elephants, lilies have lillies, humans have humans!" If the child is born a human, it must have been a human the entire time in the womb.

When Does Life Begin? Science's Answer

Do you agree or disagree that a fertilized egg is a human life? If not human, then what species? If not alive, then how to explain the biological processes that going on inside that we have always believed makes anyone or anything alive. I think this was meant as a more philosophical one...
