I didn't mean to distract from the question.
I started in ChemE, now I am HVAC. It's not exactly where I thought I'd be but it pays the bills. Sometimes just being able to pay bills is more important than what you do or want to. How you do it matters and will influence your compensation...
I'm a ChemE. Wound up in HVAC/Metal manufacturing.
Honestly, I like scary stuff. Pyrophoric materials are interesting. Things that catch fire when struck are also interesting. I was a little dissapointed when I went to air.
I like the smell of sulfur dioxide/trioxide.
I don't know. Honesty is best, but there are some rivers you shouldn't cross, or try to. Sometimes, you should let it pass.
I have some nice lawn equipment I use when the people with pitchforks come out (my wife). I can cut a lot of grass while she has her moment. If it takes a while, I can...
My wife's rear looks even better than it did when I was married (1992).

My favorite part of that scene is when Chewbacca pushes on the wall to "no avail" it is pretty clear he's moving the wall, or at least slowing it down.
Probably was tough to film that on the budget they had.
I don't believe any common stainless steels (304/316/18-8......) will matter much. Not knowing the contact time, temperature, or concentration makes this difficult.
First thought is to maybe going to a higher nickel alloy will help. Seems Carpenter 20, and one of the Hastelloy's are alloys...
