Thanks for your reply Simon. I was using the formula U=1/2cv^2 to find the needed capacitance. 3,600,000=1/2C50,000^2 3,600,000/1/2=>7,200,000 7,200,000/50000^2=>C=>.00288 in farads I thought this is telling me the needed capacitor size in farads if I know the amount of energy I want stored...- Christofferall
