Thank you for your time and not making a mockery of how vapid I was. I did intact use that formula the first time I worked through this problem but instead of converting the time i divided by to minutes I left it in hours. No wonder the results were so confusing. Velocity = Displacement/Time I would reference my book but at the moment it is in the mail and the only online sources I have found show examples of this problem when you are given the distance and time not the speed and distance.
