What it takes to be an engineer?

I know how you feel. What I found ease this feeling was exposing myself to as much design as possible. This can be achieved as easily as finding an old lawn mower/weed eater on the side of the road and take it apart and attempt to put it back together, try to figure out how each part was made...

Undergrad Spiral motion & angular acceleration (Question)

Woops sorry, I was thinking of something along the lines of: z(t) = (acos(t), bsin(t), ct) which I now realize is completely wrong.

Undergrad Spiral motion & angular acceleration (Question)

When it completes a revolution it will have also gained 'height' as it will have moved 'up' the spiral. So you're angular velocity will have to account for that direction as well. However with your angular acceleration, as long as it is moving 'up' the spiral at constant velocity the equations...

Undergrad What is Enthalpy and How is it Used in Thermodynamics?

Ahhh that's a much easier definition to understand. So it really has no relevance as an absolute quantity. Cheers for that. However now another question springs to mind: if it's modelling a constant pressure process then why can we use it to find the work done in a turbine in which there is a...

Undergrad What is Enthalpy and How is it Used in Thermodynamics?

Hi, new forumer here. I've found this site a couple times before from google searches and whatnot but I've always been too scared to post here as everyone seems much too intelligent for my questions. However I can't find a decent answer to this question, perhaps there isn't one, however...
