    I have a question on the application of the gradient vector: say A textbook question told me to "Find the directional derivative of f(x,y,z)=xy+z^2 at (1,1,1) in the direction towards (5,-3,3)." I have attempted this problem 3 times yet my answer is not the answer in the back of the answer...
