Armstrong's Modulation Method vs Wideband FM
Hey guys, quick question. Is the modulation scheme described here (Armstrong's Phase Modulation) simply wide band FM? This Wikipedia article lists the following patent for Ed Armstrong for "Armstrong's Phase Method" and "Wideband FM" 1933 Patent: http://www.google.com/patents/US1941068- clubgitmo

Transmission Lines: Reflection Coefficient vs Frequency
Hey guys - I've been using this website to study transmission lines. (great study aid - posting for others to use. Great for smith charts) However, I've noticed this graph they have for load matching: I'm having trouble finding or understanding a relationship for reflection vs frequency...- clubgitmo

Resistance Wire Cut and Splice - Too Much Current Now
Thanks for the reply. Simple automotive quick splice. Although that doesn't seem to be the issue. The resistor wire provides ~24 ohms of resistance which sounds about right... Would pull ~5amps at 110v. Which brings me back to the question of how to power this for testing. Is there a...- clubgitmo

Resistance Wire Cut and Splice - Too Much Current Now
Hey Guys - Long time reader, first time poster. I am attempting to develop a prototype of a new product. Part of this product will involve a good length of resitive wire that will generate heat. To accomplish this I cannibalized an electric blanket for the resistive wire and power controller...- clubgitmo
