What do t and t0 represent in the relativity train problem equation?

Ohh that makes sense - thank you! I'm only in physics 11 and we did not cover rest lengths, proper time interval etc

What do t and t0 represent in the relativity train problem equation?

Since the reference frames for the trains are indistinguishable, does this mean the answer is 5.8?

What do t and t0 represent in the relativity train problem equation?

    1. Two long trains pass each other head on with a relative speed of 0.97c. Bob, the driver of the first train notices that it takes 5.8 secs to pass the entire second train. How long do people on the second train say it takes for Bob to go by their train? 2. t = t0/(1-v2/c2)1/23. I understand...

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

Ummm, is it subtracting 20 from 90? Because the angle of incidence is 90 so I subtract the angle made from the reflection from it?

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

    ok so for #2, would I subtract 20 degrees from 90 degrees? ( 70 degrees ) Or do I just multiply 20 two times ( 40 degrees )

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

Oh I see, thank you for your detailed response! So in this situation, would the answers for both questions #1 and #2 be the same as their angle of incidence?

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

Sorry, I was not aware that angle of reflection and light rays were the same thing.. :sorry:

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

thank you! would this also apply for light rays?

What Is the Angle of Reflection in a Plane Mirror?

    1) If the angle of incidence of a ray of light to mirror is 50 degrees, what is the angle of reflection from the mirror? 2) If the angle of incidence of a ray of light to a mirror is 20 degrees, what angle does the light ray make with the mirror when it reflects? 3) If a ray of light makes an...
