I Did Feynman make a mistake in the drawing of moving charges?
First of all, I would like to mention that Feynman did not draw this figure. Matthew Sands drew it. Feynman's figure we much simpler; You can see him standing by it in photo #9 of the blackboard photos that are posted with this lecture in the online edition of FLP. Secondly, it seems obvious...- codelieb

Intro Physics Where can I find The Feynman Lectures on Physics at a discount?
I have several copies, including a few still in the shrink wrap, given to me by the publisher (because I created this edition and am one of the authors of the "Tips" book). I am not supposed to sell them. ;-) I am curious to know why you are looking for it. I suppose you are a book collector...- codelieb

Classical FLP Original Course Handouts at The Feynman Lectures Website
I don't know the answer to that question offhand, but for sure, many of the homework and test problems assigned to Feynman's students were incorporated into the exercise books published by Caltech.- codelieb

Classical FLP Original Course Handouts at The Feynman Lectures Website
Hello, everyone. The first large collection of FLP-related content posted at The Feynman Lectures Website was 744 pages of FLP classroom handouts (including laboratory guidelines, descriptions of experiments, homework, quizzes and exams, lecture summaries and outlines) donated by one of...- codelieb

Intro Physics Are There Printing Mistakes in Feynman Lectures on Physics?
Your supposition that Feynman would deliberately confuse people (his freshman students) is impertinent, and you are wrong not only about that. For example where it says "but something happened between 3 and 4 and even more so at 5," Feynman is referring to what rudransh verma would call the...- codelieb

Intro Physics Are There Printing Mistakes in Feynman Lectures on Physics?
Couldn't Feynman (and his coauthors) be using 0-based counting here, so that what you call "the first minute" he would call "the 0th minute," and what you call the seventh minute he calls the sixth? Zero-based counting is not uncommon in vernacular English. For example, when referring to the...- codelieb

Hello, everyone. I've made a number of announcements in this Forum about publications at The Feynman Lectures Website, but this is one I've long anticipated and am particularly happy to make: You can now listen to the original tape recordings of Feynman's famous Caltech Introductory Physics...- codelieb

Intro Physics Messenger Lectures at The Feynman Lectures Website
You're welcome! (I write all the code for The Feynman Lectures Website. Before I became FLP's Editor I was a software consultant for 27 years.) These films were made in 1964, long before Feynman became ill from the cancer that killed him in 1989. To the best of my knowledge he never had back...- codelieb

Thanks. It's nice to get some feedback. I also got some from Youtube, where I left comments on some of the more popular postings of the Feynman Messenger Lectures films. So far all the feedback has been positive, which makes me happy. This application presented many challenges. I worked on it...- codelieb

Intro Physics Messenger Lectures at The Feynman Lectures Website
The videos displayed by our viewer were made at Full HD (1080p) resolution from a copy of the original films. Offhand, I can think of three reasons other versions you have seen don't look as good: (1) they are Nth generation copies for N>1, (2) they are displayed at lower resolutions than we...- codelieb
