Water Pressure in Box: Calculating Perspex Thickness
Thanks, Ill see if the local Univ library has it. Nice, now that’s what I am talking about. I had a chat to my brother in law, who does mechanical modeling, however he has little experience in designing something to accommodate bending, as Aleph mentioned. He does have modeling software...- Crazy Person

Water Pressure in Box: Calculating Perspex Thickness
Dear All I have approximately 300liters of water that I would like to house in a box. However I would like to check up on my water every now and again so I would like to make it out of clear perspex/acrylic. I could make it out of glass, but perspex is cheaper and easier for me to handle...- Crazy Person

Understanding Current Inrush on Device Activation
Sophie, thanks for the reply. The electromagnetic field propagation I can understand, but on the scales I am working on, the field is in the 300HMz and above range (or 3.3ns and shorter). My concern lies in the milliseconds to hundreds of milliseconds. I will continue my search in the...- Crazy Person

Understanding Current Inrush on Device Activation
I cast: "Revive thread": I am working on a device that could be considered an electric generator, but it can be simply viewed as a transformer. In investigating the magnetic field I have been informed that "an inductor is not an inductor all the time". Apart from knowing that a real world...- Crazy Person
