40 years a believer in some kind of spiritual inner being and a transcendent reality underpinning phenomenal reality, I now see any and all such belief as escapist and obscurantist and, at its worst, a threat to continued civilization.
I seek friends who want to foreground the awesome chance we have as sentient existences to find out something of the world before we pass into oblivion.
In brief, we pass this way once, out of nothing, back to nothing: let's celebrate this if we can, amidst the strife, pain and tears and find - through the bread-and-water ordinariness of our daily life - particles of wonderousness!
