Undergrad Possible mistake during differentiation? Please check
1. The following is my logic for the answer I received: \sqrt{x} = x^{1/2} Using the power rule I bring the 1/2 out as a coefficient, and subtract one from the numerator : \frac{1}{2}x^{-1/2} I simplified to : \frac{-\sqrt{x}}{2} 2.
