Undergrad Is this function x/sinx continuous?
Can we judge about continuity of function x/sinx?? Many examples in Google about sinx/x or xsinx but nothing about this function? Is there any special case? Regards- DrunkenPhD

Graduate Can Hypothesis Testing for Proportions Simplify Design Variable Levels?
I read that I can use the hypothesis testing technique for proportions to decide whether the number of levels for a design variable could be reduced. In literature the following typical test was used: Ho: pi=0 Ha: pi \neq0 where pi is the proportion of class i (level i ) within the...- DrunkenPhD

Undergrad Normal distribution negative values
Thank you SteamKing. But in case of not standard normal distribution smth like N(μ,σ) where both μ,σ are not equal to 0, I cannot really see smthg like -5 minutes which can be a value of simulation N(μ,σ) Any ideas about that? Regards- DrunkenPhD

Undergrad Normal distribution negative values
Hi I read at this link http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/~aude/papers/TRB2012_stat_traffic.pdf something like bus travel times can be normally distributed. Sounds strange to me because normal distribution presumes even negative values Anything I am missing here? Regards- DrunkenPhD
