Is Randomness Just a Misinterpretation of Complexity?

Chaos is. I think on the quantum level fields act and react chaotically. Removing "random" from existence is implicit of design. The size, velocity, direction the Earth blew out of the big bang, with all of the elements it has... life the universe and everything being "designed"... asteroids...

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

So... as the magnet passes through the center of a solenoid, the magnetic field changes direction? Is that where the resistance comes from? Is there a way to calculate that resistance? Also, does the velocity of the magnet have any effect on the amount of electricity generated? I suppose...

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

I am thinking it has something to do with Lenz, but being an idiot with only most of a public school education about a millennium ago, I don't understand Lenz, or Faraday, so I make that claim with no understanding whatsoever. I just believe it.

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

Evidently I don't know how GOOD generators work.It requires energy to generate that electricity... through whatever processes that allow efficient motors to operate, it cannot breach 0 point.Gravity is not electricity, or energy even I don't think... it is nothing without mass. It is a force...

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

Friction is why you can't do that. Why can't you do it in the above scenario?

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

Because dropping a magnet through a solenoid creates electricity... which would violate conservation... so why won't it work?

Can a Magnet-Driven Tube on the Moon Function Perpetually?

... with all this drilling equipment and an idea, albeit a dumb one. Big tube, through the moon. Big permanent mag lev tube... packed with solenoids... and a brick, covered in magnets. Drop the brick in the tube, vacuum of space, no resistance that I can think of... Hooke says it will...

Crush pressure on an underwater vacuum tube

Thanks for that! So... average ocean floor is 2.5 miles. How big you got to make a thing, a quasi conventional thing... I mean I couldn't make it out of titanium, to have a 6" ID?

Crush pressure on an underwater vacuum tube

So... let's say I wanted to drop a pipe on the ocean floor with a 6" inner diameter... which has a pretty strong vacuum in it... what general size/material do you suppose that would require... assume it is miles long. I guess you could keep the vacuum pipe inside of another pipe that does not...

Lenz's Law & Magnet Dropping into Coils: Does Velocity Decelerate?

So... am I understanding this right? Does Lenz's law suggest that the velocity of a magnet dropping (gravity) into a tube of coils will decelerate as it passes? By decelerate, I mean actually not accelerate as quickly as it would without coils around it. I am an idiot. Thanks in advance.
