I see now what I was missing. The event horizon of the black hole/particle combination would expand to the size of the entire universe if the objects were imbued with infinite energy... Thus making the apparent volume infinite.

The volume would increase but only slightly up until the event horizon was touching the orbit of the particles (at which point they would need to have infinite energy to remain in orbit). This increase in volume would not be proportional to the increase in mass.

I am guessing lightning contains more power than you are estimating. It can cause quite an energetic bit of destruction... Wikipedia says a "vigorous" lightning bolt emits about 1Mw per meter... How much you can capture by having it strike an apparatus is unknown but it must be a pretty decent...
