I "Time is an illusion" according to Einstein
Two more interesting Einstein quotes to have a look into Einstein's mind: << From a "happening" in three-dimensional space, physics becomes, as it were, an "existence" in the four-dimensional "world". >> (Albert Einstein. "Relativity: The Special and the General Theory." 1916...- Ebeb

I "Time is an illusion" according to Einstein
He wrote: <<...for us convinced physicists the distinction between past, present, and future is only an illusion, although a persistent one." >> ( Letter to Michele Besso family, March 21, 1955. Einstein Archives 7-245).- Ebeb

A Einstein and Spacetime: Debunking the Myth of Rejecting Curvature
A few Einstein quotes might help you: << Since there exists in this four dimensional structure [space-time] no longer any sections which represent "now" objectively, the concepts of happening and becoming are indeed not completely suspended, but yet complicated. It appears therefore more...- Ebeb

I Proper (and coordinate) times re the Twin paradox
Grimble, let me visualize this for you. (I use a Loedel diagram. A Loedel diagram uses same unit lengths for both reference frames (Minkowski diagram doesn't), which makes it easier to understand that the 'time dilation' is actually not due to a stretching of reference units... or worse, a...- Ebeb

B Take on Length Contraction at relativistic speeds
- That's even worse. I thought the goal of communication in science was to be as specific as possible? The 'projection' and 'shadow' wording follows from looking at a stick from a non-90 degree angle, resulting in a shorter view of the stick. This misleading analogy blocks the interested...- Ebeb

B Take on Length Contraction at relativistic speeds
I don't understand your 'shadow'. 4D world contains far more events than one 3D world. Hence a 3D world cannot be a projection nor shadow of such a vast 4D world. A 3D world is a section through 4D world.- Ebeb

B Is Spacetime Really a Block Where All Moments Exist Simultaneously?
Yes indeed. Einstein himself considered it a Block. Some Einstein quotes will help you: << From a "happening" in three-dimensional space, physics becomes, as it were, an "existence" in the four-dimensional "world". >> << Since there exists in this four dimensional structure [space-time] no...- Ebeb

I What is the physical cause behind time dilation?
There's also the Block Universe interpretation: The physical phenomenon is not that one looks at a physical 3D object from a different point of view, but rather that one observes a different cut through a physical 4D 'spacetime' object. (To follow your circle/ellips comparison: the ellips is...- Ebeb

I How Does Special Relativity Challenge Our Understanding of Absolute Time?
The event is not coordinates. The event is: car hits tree. Hence it contains car and tree.- Ebeb

I How Does Special Relativity Challenge Our Understanding of Absolute Time?
All I can say about this article is that it doesn't give any insight al all. Nobody fully understands what you write there. As far as I can remember -correct me if I'm wrong- there was a forum thread where the article was also discussed, you participated, but you didn't like what was being said...- Ebeb

I How Does Special Relativity Challenge Our Understanding of Absolute Time?
It might be interisting for the forum readers. As far as I can remember you call 'physical' only what is measured. But this means one is not allowed to talk about a 3D universe of simultaneous events occurring now. Which means we are not allowed to make a 3D cut though the apex of the lightcone...- Ebeb

I How Does Special Relativity Challenge Our Understanding of Absolute Time?
I never said that. How can you pretend this after reading what I said about Ibix post? see #142 No. You didn't understand me. I'm talking of 3D worlds or 3D universe 'now' as 3D sections made of simultaeous events. What's you point of view on Ibix post #127 ?- Ebeb

I How Does Special Relativity Challenge Our Understanding of Absolute Time?
Looks fine to me. Great. No 3D world is physical? If the physical world is 4D, then 3D as a part of 4D has to be physical too. Yes, and I gave up because we couldn't get on the same wavelength. Maybe we disagree on the meaning of physical. As far as I understand Ibix, the events as such are...- Ebeb
