In Canada, 80% is an A-, in the States, it's a B-. Does that mean....
Summary:: Comparing education systems from different countries. ..our education system is easier? Or does that mean our material is tougher and the grading system balances out? Or is just cultural differences. The only exception is York. It doesn't like (-) so an 80 is just an A. 90+ is an A+.- Eric Recchia

Undergrad What grade is expected of physics students?
As is any course, C is the bare minimum expectation. D is disappointing but passable. B is above average, or good, it indicates a solid amount of skill on the part of the student to rise above expectations. A is when expectations are shattered completely. A+ is true perfection.- Eric Recchia

Other What's your note taking method in physics classes?
Listen. Listen. Listen. The spoken word has more power than notes. I find when I'm too hyperfocused on the quality of the notes, I'm left with a pile of pretty but cryptic writing. It doens't help me understand. Nowadays notes tend to get uploaded online anyways.- Eric Recchia
