Graduate Can an EM Stress-Energy Tensor Exist with Equal Sigma-Values?
I don't think you're correct. I've been looking into domain walls and d2-branes.- Gatchaman

Graduate Can an EM Stress-Energy Tensor Exist with Equal Sigma-Values?
I don't think one exists. How about an energy-momentum tensor? Perfect fluid with zz having no interaction with xx or yy components?- Gatchaman

Graduate Can an EM Stress-Energy Tensor Exist with Equal Sigma-Values?
Nordstrom-Reissner solution? I looked, but couldn't figure it out. Would a perfect fluid solution exist with diag(\rho, p, p, 0) you think?- Gatchaman

Graduate Can an EM Stress-Energy Tensor Exist with Equal Sigma-Values?
Is it possible for an EM stress-energy tensor such as this: [PLAIN]http://www3.telus.net/public/kots1906/emtensor.jpg to exist, where \sigma_{xx} = \sigma_{yy} ?- Gatchaman

Graduate Is There a Black Hole at the Center of the Sun?
The fully contracted Riemann tensor, called the Kretschmann invariant scalar, of the Schwarzschild metric will reveal the singularity at r = 0. K == 48 m^2 / r^6. How do we know that r = 0 is a true singularity? Scalars are invariant under a coordinate transformation. Thus, a singularity exists...- Gatchaman

Graduate 3 dimensions of space and 1 of time
Hoku, As easy as this may sound for me to say: Go grab an introductory book about General Relativity and start learning the MATH. Without knowledge of the MATH, you will have absolutely no understanding of GR. But, I think you need to grab yourself an introductory physics book to review basic...- Gatchaman

I'm no longer responding to this thread. I really think Hoku is trolling now. All of the mumbo-jumbo metaphysics he throws in here along with legitimate GR contributions from other forum members just doesn't sit right with me. Good luck.- Gatchaman

No philosophy here. Just your lack of understanding GR in a mathematical manner.- Gatchaman

I think the problem you have is that you're thinking too much of Newtonian gravity and somehow this still exists as a force in general relativity (GR). In GR, gravity is a purely geometrical/stress-energy construction. There are no "forces" involved.- Gatchaman

Just look at the Kruskal diagram. Learn how to interpret it and it tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the spacetime near a BH.- Gatchaman
